"Across three states, Jenny was hands-down the best divorce lawyer I worked with! Authentic, savvy, insightful, tough, empathetic and effective. Can ’t say enough good things about her."
Jolie Hessenflow joins Triangle Smart Divorce as our new receptionist … well, sort of. Yes, she’s on the front desk, and yes, she’s answering our phones, greeting clients, and putting everyone at ease all day long. And while that does define a Triangle Smart receptionist, it doesn’t define Jolie.
Admittingly, she blew us away by nailing our somewhat infamous hiring process. She thought it was fun. Her experience also blew us away: she has six years of experience working the front desk (among a zillion other duties) at some well-known hotels in Wilmington (while she was at Cape Fear Community College) and Raleigh (during her time at NC State).
If you’ve ever seen The White Lotus or a hundred other movies with iconic lobby scenes, you know what she endured. Even through all that, she flourished. Talk about a high-pressure job. The Who never trashed a room at one of her hotels, but if you’re ever in our waiting room and have a minute ask her about ‘the TikTok stars in the Presidential Suite.’ Really, you won’t be disappointed.
So, back to us hiring her as a receptionist – we’re positive Jolie and Triangle are a great match, and we’ll be working together for a long time. We’re almost equally as sure that somewhere along the line, she’ll be here as an attorney.
Jolie has always been “fascinated with the organized mess of family law.” That’s her quote though we’ll probably steal it at some point; it’s just too perfect. Jolie’s fascination with family law actually started years ago, watching her grandmother work with children in North Carolina courts for decades.
Jolie is on a mission to learn as much as she can about “every different phase of family law.” We’re happy to ride along and have her on the team. We feel lucky that her inviting and warm personality is the first people will encounter when they call or walk into our office.
Jolie enjoys crochet, jazz, and political theory in her spare time. By political theory, she means light reading like John Locke’s An Essay Concerning Human Understanding or Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar or … well, you get the point.
Our practice is entirely dedicated to helping couples move forward with confidence when dealing with divorce. You’re not alone.
