Kitty Carlsten brings to Triangle Smart Divorce an exceptionally strong educational and organizational background deeply grounded in working with families.

Okay, that sentence doesn’t really cut it. First, there’s this: Kitty developed and streamlined a school curriculum for children aged – are you ready for this? – 18 months to 12-years-old. Hardly cut and paste stuff. Then, she had to communicate with the parents of that eclectic age gap, which she did through blogs, presentations, videos, and social media. Then – at the same time – she directed staff meetings and professional development sessions to help keep her coworkers aligned with everything. Oh, and occasionally, she’d have to develop, coordinate, and run assemblies, fundraising events, family picnics, and more.

Then there’s the fact that Kitty graduated Magna Cum Laude in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina.

It’s probably apparent by now that she loves working with families. She “just enjoys helping others and building relationships with people and families” wherever and whenever she can. We don’t know what else we could ask for in an Administrative Assistant.

New to family law, she obviously has the curiosity to thrive – quickly. Law school could be in the cards down the road. If so, at the rate Triangle Smart Divorce is going with a new generation of paralegals and attorneys, we may have to have our own wing at one of our local law schools.

Kitty was on the USC Color Guard and is a huge (and proud) USC Women’s Basketball team fan. Aside from that, however, she has no sports allegiances and vows to remain supportive yet neutral to the rest of our team through college football and basketball seasons. When it comes to European soccer, though, she’s fully committed, cheering passionately for AC Milan.

Kitty’s life away from Triangle Smart Divorce is ruled by her four-year-old pit bull-chow mix, Leo. Leo occasionally allows her to engage in her passions: photography and thrifting. Kitty is also our office coffee connoisseur.
