By the time someone talks to Sarah Hagler, they have often been thinking about calling a divorce lawyer for quite a while. 

They may be nervous. They may have a hundred questions. They may not even be sure whether they need a lawyer yet. 

Sarah is exactly the kind of person we want them talking to first. 

As a Client Care Coordinator at Triangle Smart Divorce, Sarah is often one of the first people a potential Client gets to know. She listens to what is happening, helps figure out what they need, and determines whether TSD is the right firm to help. 

If we are, Sarah helps them take the next step, from matching them with the right TSD attorney to making sure they are prepared for their consultation. And if we’re not the right fit, she will do her best to point them toward someone who may be. 

For Sarah, figuring out what someone needs and helping them find it isn’t exactly new. 

Sarah earned her degree in Social Work from UNC Greensboro and worked in case management with at-risk children and their families. Her work involved assessing needs, talking with families, connecting them with community resources, and following up to see whether those resources actually helped. She also interned with the Rockingham Department of Social Services, where she worked alongside social workers on child welfare matters. 

Before that, there was coffee. 

Sarah worked in a busy coffee house, where she learned how to talk to just about anyone, including people who had not yet received the caffeine required to become their best selves. As it turns out, listening carefully, staying patient, and figuring out what someone needs are useful skills whether you’re standing behind a coffee counter or answering one of the most important phone calls someone may make during a divorce. 

Sarah brings that same patience to Client Care. She knows the person calling us may be having a very bad day. Her job is to make the beginning of the process feel a little less overwhelming and make sure the next step is the right one. 

Outside the office, Sarah enjoys exploring the Triangle, working out, and spending time with her cat, Mr. Reginald, and her dog, Sam. 

She doesn’t have particularly strong sports allegiances, which around TSD may be less of an omission and more of a survival strategy. 

For Sarah, Client Care really comes down to something she was doing long before she arrived at TSD: listening to people, figuring out what they need, and helping them take the next step.
