Overview
If Julianne Rothert is in, she’s all in.
There may be no better evidence of this than Clemson football.
Julianne is a Clemson graduate and a devoted Clemson fan. How devoted? She once went into labor the night before a Clemson football game and still went to the game, sat through the whole thing, and then headed to the hospital to have her baby.
Some people might question the decision-making there. We prefer to focus on the commitment.
Fortunately for her Clients, Julianne brings that same kind of dedication to family law.
Julianne has practiced family law for more than two decades and handles all aspects of it, including divorce, custody, support, property division, and complex financial matters. She is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Family Law, a Certified Family Financial Mediator, and a Parenting Coordinator.
In other words, family law isn’t simply something Julianne practices. It’s what she does.
She also isn’t going to tell a Client something simply because it’s what they want to hear.
As Julianne puts it, “I’m not the person to come to if you want to be told only what you want to hear. I’m the person to come to if you want to get it straight.”
Her Clients seem to appreciate that.
One described relying on Julianne to “filter out the noise” during an emotional divorce. The Client credited her with keeping the case moving, staying mindful of expenses, and helping focus attention on the legal decisions that actually mattered. Other Clients have described her as kind, caring, supportive, and someone they wanted in their corner.
Those things aren’t contradictory.
Julianne can tell you that you’re focusing on the wrong thing and still understand why you’re upset about it. She can be compassionate without encouraging you to spend time, money, and energy on a fight that isn’t going to get you where you want to go.
Sometimes being in your corner means telling you the truth.
Julianne also frequently serves as a mediator in family law cases. She likes helping families find a way forward without turning every decision over to a judge. Her experience handling all sides of family law disputes helps her identify what is actually standing in the way of resolution and where there may be room to move.
She also serves as a Parenting Coordinator in high-conflict custody cases, helping parents navigate disagreements and implement their custody orders after the courtroom part is over.
Parenting Coordination requires a deep understanding of custody law, the ability to stay calm when other people aren’t, and quite a bit of patience.
Fortunately, Julianne has the patience of Job.
Her dedication to family law has also earned her significant recognition from the legal community. She has been selected to North Carolina Super Lawyers, recognized multiple times by Best Lawyers in America, and named to Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite in Family Law.
Outside the office, Julianne’s dedication doesn’t exactly disappear.
Her children are involved in plenty of sports of their own, which means Julianne spends a good amount of time driving to practices, games, and whatever adventure she’s planned next. She also loves working out and staying active, although given the family calendar, sitting still may simply no longer be an available option.
At home, she has two Golden Retrievers and two cats named Dabo and Tiger.
Yes. Dabo and Tiger.
Clemson was always going to make another appearance.
Whether Julianne is showing up for her children, her Clients, the families she works with as a mediator or Parenting Coordinator, or a Clemson football game that perhaps any reasonable person would have skipped, she has never really figured out how to do things halfway.
When Julianne is in your corner, she’s all in.
